Three-Year-Old Drowns in Eilat Guesthouse Pool, Condition Moderate
A three-year-old boy drowned in a pool at a guesthouse on Lotus Street in Eilat. Rescue teams from United Hatzalah arrived promptly, providing initial medical treatment and oxygen support. The child was then transported in stable condition to Yoseftal Hospital's trauma unit, where his condition is currently classified as moderate.
Senior paramedics Shmuel Aharonson, Moti Breski, and Israel Horvitz, who were first on the scene, reported that the boy had been staying at the guesthouse with family when the incident occurred. They emphasized the importance of constant supervision around pools, especially private or guesthouse pools, to prevent such accidents.
United Hatzalah urged caregivers to keep a close watch on children near water and recommended emptying pools after use to reduce drowning risks. The organization highlighted the need for vigilance to avoid similar incidents in the future.
