Trump Abruptly Cancels Major Strike on Iran, Reportedly Offers Significant Concessions

Just before what was described as the largest military strike since World War II, U.S. President Donald Trump abruptly called off missile attacks against Iran. He ordered the return of aircraft and issued an urgent statement announcing a freeze on the planned massive assault. Arab sources now claim that Trump received no concessions from the Iranian regime and instead made substantial compromises to entice Iran back to the negotiating table, though it remains uncertain if talks will resume.

According to Iranian sources speaking to the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel, which is close to the Iranian regime, the U.S. made a significant last-minute concession to Iran. This reportedly included agreeing to close the southern route through the Strait of Hormuz, near the Omani coast, which the U.S. Navy uses to escort ships and oil tankers from the strait to international waters. If true, this would represent a major American concession, effectively paving the way for Iranian control over the strategic strait in the future.

Despite the heavy price reportedly paid by the U.S., Pakistani sources involved in the negotiations indicated that no new talks with Iran have been formally scheduled yet. This contrasts with President Trump's announcement that negotiations are expected to resume imminently.
