Israel's Intense Heatwave Begins Gradual Easing Starting Monday

After a week of severe heat and extreme temperatures across Israel, the intense heatwave is expected to gradually subside beginning Monday. Initial temperature drops will be felt, though it will remain hotter than usual, especially in the mountainous and inland areas, with persistent humidity along the coastal plain. Winds are forecast to strengthen from Monday afternoon, particularly in the hills and interior regions.

The cooling trend will continue into Tuesday, with partly cloudy to clear skies in the morning and further temperature decreases mainly inland and in the mountains. Despite the relief, coastal areas will still experience heavy heat and humidity. By Wednesday, temperatures will drop slightly more, especially in the mountains and inland, while coastal humidity remains high. The overall breaking of the extreme heatwave will be evident nationwide.

The full change will be noticeable on Thursday, when after a partly cloudy to cloudy morning, temperatures will return to normal seasonal averages. This will bring significant relief from the oppressive heat that peaked earlier in the week across the country.
