IDF and Shin Bet Kill Hamas Terrorist Who Held Israeli Hostages in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced the killing of Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Hadi Yusuf Kardi, a senior Hamas operative, in Gaza City yesterday. Kardi was the deputy head of a Hamas cell responsible for holding Israeli hostages, including Romi Golan and the late Sergeant Noa Marciano, who was killed during captivity. According to the IDF and Shin Bet, Kardi also worked as a doctor at Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
Kardi infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7 and continued to orchestrate terrorist attacks against Israeli forces and civilians throughout the ongoing conflict. The security agencies described him as a significant threat to Israeli troops. He was eliminated in an airstrike targeting his location.
