Israeli Man Arrested for Throwing Stone and Threatening Channel 12 News Staff

Abraham Hadi, a 40-year-old resident of Ramat Gan, was arrested on suspicion of throwing a stone at the Channel 12 News building in Tel Aviv and leaving a threatening letter at the scene. The letter warned that "next time the stone will be aimed at one of your heads" and stated "someone will eventually die." The Tel Aviv District Court extended his detention until Monday, August 3, as the investigation continues.

Hadi was apprehended by the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District Police and is suspected of property damage and issuing threats. Authorities are also examining whether he is connected to a series of similar incidents in recent weeks targeting other media outlets, which included door break-ins and threatening graffiti.

Hadi is known to the police from previous incidents, including arrests for spraying graffiti near Channel 13 offices and on public buildings in Tel Aviv. He is also involved in a separate case concerning an alleged assault at a law firm in Bnei Brak. The police confirmed that following his arrest, a court hearing was held to extend his detention while the investigation proceeds.
