Netanyahu Gains in New Poll as Gadi Eizenkot Loses Support

A new poll published by Kan News shows a slight increase in support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, which rose to 22 seats from 21 in the previous survey. Meanwhile, Gadi Eizenkot's Yisrael party dropped one seat to 21, and Naftali Bennett's Beyachad party also lost one seat, falling to 14. The Democrats gained one seat, reaching 10, following their recent primaries. Otzma Yehudit decreased to 9 seats, while Yisrael Beiteinu maintained its 9 seats.

Among religious parties, Shas and United Torah Judaism remain stable with 8 seats each, and Religious Zionism holds 5 seats. In the Arab sector, Hadash-Ta'al and Ra'am each secured 5 seats. The Miluim party, led by Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel, passed the electoral threshold for the second consecutive week with 4 seats. Conversely, Blue and White, led by Dedi Simchi, and Balad failed to cross the threshold.

Overall, Netanyahu's bloc strengthened by one seat to 52 seats. The poll also measured preferred candidates for prime minister, showing a tight race between Netanyahu at 39% and Eizenkot at 38%. Against Bennett, Netanyahu leads more comfortably with 39% to Bennett's 31%.
