Netanyahu Widens Lead as Gadi Eizenkot Surges Over Naftali Bennett in New Poll
A recent poll by Channel 14 reveals that if elections were held today, the right-wing bloc led by Likud would maintain a stable 63 seats in the Knesset. Likud itself holds steady at 33 seats, while the party "Yisra with Gadi Eizenkot" remains the second largest with 20 seats, showing a significant lead over Naftali Bennett's faction.
Shas retains its third place with 11 seats, unchanged from last week. The joint parties led by Bennett and Yair Lapid, as well as the Democrats, each hold 9 seats. Israel Beiteinu has dropped by one seat to 8, and United Torah Judaism fell slightly to 7 seats. Otzma Yehudit remains at 7 seats. Arab parties have gained slightly, with the Joint List rising to 6 seats and Ra'am steady at 5. The Religious Zionist Party increased by one seat to 5, while Blue and White fails to cross the electoral threshold.
Regarding suitability for prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu leads with 53% support, increasing his advantage. Gadi Eizenkot ranks second with 31%, followed by Naftali Bennett at 10%. Avigdor Lieberman holds 5%, and Benny Gantz trails at 1%. The poll underscores Netanyahu's growing dominance and Eizenkot's rise as a significant contender ahead of the 2026 elections.
