Netanyahu's Likud Gains Mandates While Gadi Eizenkot's Party Loses Ground

A new Kan News poll reveals that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party has strengthened its position, rising to 22 mandates. Meanwhile, Gadi Eizenkot's party, "Yashar!", has lost one mandate, now holding 21. Naftali Bennett's "Together" party also declined by one mandate, standing at 14. The Democrats gained one mandate following their recent primaries. The pro-Netanyahu bloc increased by one mandate to a total of 52, mainly at the expense of opposition parties. The party of reservists led by Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel passed the electoral threshold again, securing four mandates for the second consecutive week.

Regarding leadership suitability, Netanyahu and Eizenkot enjoy similar support, with 39% and 38% of the public respectively considering them fit to be prime minister. Bennett trails behind with only 31% support. However, 47% of respondents believe Netanyahu is driven by personal and political motives in security matters. On foreign policy, 41% oppose Israel entering a conflict with Iran. The public's greatest security concerns are Iran and the West Bank, each cited by 34%, while only 6% fear Gaza.

Among opposition voters, 40% think Bennett and Yair Lapid should not have united their parties, whereas 34% support the alliance.
