Indian Migrant Worker Stabbed to Death in Jerusalem, Suspect Arrested

A 40-year-old Indian migrant worker was fatally stabbed on Thursday in Jerusalem. The victim was found dead in an apartment in the Katamon neighborhood. Police responding to the scene launched a murder investigation and arrested a 31-year-old man from Eilat as a suspect.

This incident follows the recent murder of 19-year-old Benyahu Razi from Givat Ze'ev, who was killed earlier this month in the Nahlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court extended the detention of David Keren, 19, from Elad, by seven days. Keren is suspected of linking Agam Tzarfati and Shilat Huta, who allegedly ordered Razi's murder, to the actual perpetrators.

Yesterday, police released a photo and details of Avi'or Sasson, 17, from Jerusalem, suspected of involvement in Razi's murder, and requested public assistance in locating him. Sasson was seen fleeing the crime scene wearing a white shirt and black pants. He is 1.70 meters tall with dark eyes and short black hair. Authorities warned that aiding the suspect could result in up to three years imprisonment.

The family of the murdered youth expressed their grief and frustration, with Maya Vishniak's father stating he hopes the murderer remains imprisoned for life.
