Israeli Police Arrest Eilat Resident in Suspected Murder of Indian Worker in Jerusalem

Israeli police launched a murder investigation on Thursday after a 40-year-old Indian foreign worker was found dead in his apartment in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem. The victim was discovered surrounded by a large amount of blood, and medical teams confirmed his death at the scene.

Authorities quickly identified and arrested a 31-year-old resident of Eilat on suspicion of involvement in the killing. Police secured the crime scene, collected evidence, and conducted initial investigative actions. The suspicion of a criminal act intensified following the forensic findings.

Yoval Reuven, commander of the Moriah police station, reported that officers responded to a call about a man lying in a pool of blood and that the investigation rapidly led to the arrest of a suspect. Jerusalem District Commander Asaf Feld visited the scene, ordered the case to be transferred to the district's central unit, and emphasized ongoing investigative efforts to uncover the truth behind the incident.
