Mobileye Founder Amnon Shashua Steps Down as CEO, Will Become Chairman

Professor Amnon Shashua, founder and CEO of Mobileye, has informed the company's board of his intention to resign as CEO once a successor is appointed. The board plans to engage a senior recruitment firm to conduct a comprehensive search for a new CEO. Following the appointment, Shashua is expected to assume the role of chairman of the board and will continue to serve as a director during the transition period.

Shashua has been instrumental in leading Mobileye through significant milestones, including its initial public offering in 2014, which was the largest Israeli IPO at the time, and the company's acquisition by Intel in 2017. Mobileye was re-listed on the stock market in 2022. Shashua noted that Mobileye has been a part of his life for nearly three decades and believes this is the right moment to establish a leadership structure suited for the company's next phase.
