Ramat Gan Opens All Shelters Amid Increased Risk of Iranian Rocket Fire This Weekend

Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen announced on Thursday afternoon the opening of all public bomb shelters in the city. He urged residential committees to refresh the shared shelters in their buildings as a precaution. The mayor cited an increased and non-negligible risk of rocket fire from Iran over the upcoming weekend. Despite the costs involved, he emphasized the importance of heightened caution, hoping the measures would ultimately prove unnecessary.

Shama-Hacohen clarified that there has been no official alert from the Home Front Command. He reassured residents that in the event of another escalation, there is no need for panic, as the Israel Defense Forces and the Air Force are prepared to defend the population and conduct strikes far from Israeli territory.
