Suspected Arson Sparks Multiple Fires in Ramat Gan, Residents Evacuated

Early on September 24, 2024, three fires broke out in close proximity in Ramat Gan, Israel. The first fire involved a palm tree and a building lobby on Herzl Street, followed shortly by another blaze in a residential building lobby on nearby Jabotinsky Street. Firefighters from the Israel Fire and Rescue Services responded promptly, extinguishing the fires, conducting searches for trapped individuals, and ventilating smoke from the affected areas. Seven residents were evacuated with minor injuries due to smoke inhalation and received further medical treatment. The Fire and Rescue Services have launched an investigation into the incidents and suspect arson as the cause, with indications that the fires are connected. Findings from the investigation have been handed over to the Israel Police for further action.
