Suspected Arson Sparks Multiple Fires in Ramat Gan, Seven Residents Evacuated

Early this morning, three fires broke out in close proximity in Ramat Gan, Israel, prompting suspicions of deliberate arson. The first fire occurred on Herzl Street, where a palm tree and the lobby of a residential building caught fire. Firefighters quickly responded to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to the building.

Shortly after, a second fire was reported in the lobby of another residential building on nearby Jabotinsky Street. The rapid succession of incidents raised immediate concerns about a connection between the fires. Fire crews conducted thorough searches to ensure no one was trapped and ventilated the buildings to clear smoke.

Seven residents who inhaled smoke were evacuated in light condition and received medical treatment on site. A fire investigator from the Israel Fire and Rescue Services examined the scenes and concluded there is a strong suspicion of intentional arson, likely linking the three fires.

The investigation findings were handed over to the Israel Police, which is expected to launch a comprehensive inquiry to identify those responsible and clarify the circumstances. Authorities noted that several suspicious arson cases have been reported recently in central Israel, some related to various disputes.

The Fire and Rescue Services emphasized the importance of adhering to fire safety regulations in residential buildings to protect lives and property, warning that lack of detection and suppression measures can lead to severe consequences.
