Brush Fire Near Ramat Gan Halts Train Traffic
Seven firefighting and rescue teams are battling a brush fire that erupted Wednesday evening near Ramat Gan, between the Ramat Gan Stadium and the training stadium behind the Ayalon Mall, close to the Maccabiah Bridge. The fire spread to both banks of the stream due to dry brush and vegetation. Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area.
Train traffic in the vicinity has been suspended due to the fire's proximity to the railway tracks. Israel Railways stated that the suspension is in effect in the Bnei Brak area, causing delays and changes to train services in the region and at stations in the Sharon ring. Service will resume once clearance is received from fire officials.
The fire is being fought in several sectors, with the dry conditions contributing to its spread.
