Religious Zionism Party Releases Full Candidate List Ahead of Upcoming Primaries

The Religious Zionism party has announced its full list of candidates for the upcoming primaries for the 26th Knesset, scheduled for Sunday, the 12th of Av. The list includes current Knesset members Michal Waldiger, Ohad Tal, Tzvi Sukkot, and Simcha Rothman, as well as Minister Orit Strook.

Additional candidates include Tzvika Vishnegrad, a lawyer and deputy mayor of Petah Tikva; Natan Zauberman, CEO of the Tikva program for integrating young French immigrants and a startup manager; Omer Rahamim, CEO of the Yesha Council; Shmuel Sasson, a rabbi and head of the Hader nucleus in Haifa; and Eitan Tam, a lawyer and deputy mayor of Rosh HaAyin.

Notably, Tzvika Mor, chairman of the "Tikva Forum" and father of former captive Itamar Mor, joined the party in May and is expected to be placed at the top of the candidate list. Mor is recognized for his strong stance during the recent conflict, advocating for decisive military pressure on Hamas and opposing partial or risky deals. His involvement is seen as a potential boost to the party's electoral strength within the national-religious camp.

The primaries will determine the party's candidate order for the 2026 Knesset elections, with party leader Bezalel Smotrich playing a central role in the process.
