Religious Zionism Party Announces 10 Candidates for Upcoming Knesset Primaries

The Religious Zionism party has finalized its list of 10 candidates for the primaries to determine its slate for Israel's 26th Knesset. The party announced the candidates on Wednesday, ahead of the primary vote scheduled for Sunday. Approximately 200 party central committee members will cast their ballots to select the final list.

The candidate roster includes current Knesset members Michal Waldiger, Ohad Tal, Simcha Rothman, and Tzvi Sukkot, alongside Minister Orit Strook. Other contenders are attorney Tzvika Vishnegrad, deputy mayor of Petah Tikva; Natan Zauberman, CEO of the Tikvah program for young French immigrants and a startup manager; and Omer Rahamim, CEO of the Yesha Council. The list is rounded out by Rabbi Shmuel Sasson, head of the "Hadar" group in Haifa, and Eitan Tam, deputy mayor of Rosh HaAyin.

The party's election committee has completed preparations for Sunday’s voting, which will primarily be conducted in person with limited remote voting options for exceptional cases such as reservists, hospitalized individuals, and those abroad. Voting will open at 8:00 AM at the party headquarters in the Hevel Modi'in industrial zone and close at 11:00 AM. A central polling station in Jerusalem will open at 4:30 PM and close at 7:30 PM. The party’s central committee will convene in the evening to announce the results.
