Ten Candidates Compete in Religious Zionism Party Primaries Ahead of Knesset List Vote

The registration for the Religious Zionism party primaries has closed, with ten candidates set to compete for spots on the party's Knesset list. Approximately 200 party central committee members will vote next Sunday to determine the final list. Among the candidates are current Knesset members Ohad Tal, Tzvi Sukkot, Michal Waldiger, Orit Strook, and Simcha Rothman. The list also reserves a spot for Tzvika Mor, father of former captive Eitan Mor.

Additional contenders include Eitan Tam, a city council member from Rosh HaAyin and party central committee member; Rabbi Shmuel Sasson, leader of the Hader core group and committee member; Tzvika Wishengrad, deputy mayor of Petah Tikva and committee member; Omer Rahamim, CEO of the Yesha Council; and Natan Zauberman, CEO of the "Tikvah" program for young immigrants from France, entrepreneur, and startup manager.

The party's election committee has finalized preparations for the voting day, which will primarily be conducted in person with limited remote voting options for exceptional cases such as active reservists, hospitalized individuals, those medically unable to attend, and pre-planned travelers abroad. Two polling stations will operate: one at the party headquarters in the Hevel Modi'in industrial area from 8:00 to 11:00 for early voters, and a central station in Jerusalem from 16:30 to 19:30. Following the vote, the party will hold a dinner, central committee meeting, and announce the results.
