Ten Candidates Compete in Religious Zionism Party Primaries Ahead of Israel's 26th Knesset Elections

The Religious Zionism party announced its list of ten candidates competing in the internal primaries to determine its slate for Israel's 26th Knesset elections. The candidates include current Knesset members Michal Waldiger, Ohad Tal, Tzvi Sukkot, and Simcha Rothman, alongside Minister of Settlement and National Missions Orit Strook. Other contenders are Yesha Council CEO Omer Rahamim, Deputy Mayor of Petah Tikva Tzvika Vishnegrad, CEO of the "Tikva" program and tech entrepreneur Natan Zaubman, Rabbi and head of the Haifa Hadar core Shmuel Sasson, and Deputy Mayor of Rosh HaAyin Eitan Tam.

The party is preparing for the primary vote scheduled for Sunday, the 12th of Av, with the results determining the order of candidates on the official party list for the upcoming national elections. These primaries come amid renewed preparations by right-wing parties ahead of the elections. The Religious Zionism party hopes that this democratic process will strengthen grassroots involvement and increase member engagement in shaping the party's leadership for the coming years.
