17-Year-Old Dies in Truck Collision on Highway 6 Near Kiryat Gat

A 17-year-old boy was killed overnight in a road accident involving a truck and two vehicles on Highway 6 near the Kiryat Gat interchange in southern Israel. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived at the scene and performed resuscitation efforts, but the teenager was pronounced dead at the site. Additionally, a 27-year-old man was moderately injured and taken to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot. Paramedics Roy Chazi, Meir Avivi, and Gilad Hajbi reported that the injured were trapped in the vehicle and received medical treatment during the rescue operation.

The incident adds to a series of fatal road accidents in recent days. Yesterday, a 19-year-old man died in a crash on Highway 20 near the Glilot interchange. MDA teams declared him dead at the scene and transported three others to Ichilov Hospital, including a 20-year-old in serious condition and two men with moderate injuries. Earlier the same day, a 40-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Highway 25 near the President interchange in the Negev.

These consecutive fatalities highlight ongoing road safety concerns in Israel, with emergency services responding to multiple severe accidents within a short timeframe.
