17-Year-Old Dies in Collision Involving Truck and Two Cars on Highway 6 Near Kiryat Gat
A 17-year-old boy was killed and a 27-year-old man was moderately injured in a traffic accident involving a truck and two private vehicles on Highway 6 near the Kiryat Gat interchange during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. The crash occurred shortly before midnight in the northbound lane for reasons still under investigation. The impact trapped the victims inside one of the cars, requiring complex rescue operations by emergency teams. Paramedic Roy Hazi and medics Meir Avivi and Gilad Hajbi provided initial medical treatment at the scene while extricating the injured. Despite advanced resuscitation efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured man was evacuated by ambulance to Kaplan Medical Center with limb injuries and remains in moderate condition. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
