An 8-year-old girl was moderately injured by gunfire on Monday evening in the village of Deir Hanna in the Lower Galilee. The shooters were reportedly aiming at a relative of the girl but ended up hitting her instead. She was initially taken to a local clinic in the village and then transferred by Magen David Adom (MDA) intensive care ambulance to the Poriya Medical Center near Tiberias, where her condition was reported as stable.
The incident was reported to MDA's 101 emergency center in the Asher district at 19:53. Paramedics Eyad Suleiman and Ali Shkhada arrived at the clinic to find the girl conscious but suffering from significant penetrating injuries.
