President Herzog Offers Support to Yael Shevach After Fire Destroys Homes in Givat Gilad

Shevach is the widow of Rabbi Raziel Shevach, who was killed in a shooting attack near Givat Gilad in 2018. During the conversation, Herzog expressed solidarity with Shevach and the other residents who lost their homes, saying, "The entire people of Israel stand with you in this difficult time. We love you and your dear family and think of everyone who lost their homes and stand by your side." Shevach thanked the president for his words of encouragement, noting that she is one of 17 families whose homes were burned down in the fire. She expressed deep pain over the loss of the tangible memory of her late husband in the blaze but affirmed, "We will remain strong."
