Widow of 2018 Terror Victim Loses Home in Devastating Gilad Farm Fire

Yael Shevach, a media personality and widow of Rabbi Raziel Shevach who was murdered in a 2018 shooting attack, revealed that her home in the Gilad Farm settlement was completely destroyed by fire. The blaze occurred early Saturday morning and caused extensive damage, burning down 26 homes and damaging local businesses. Five people were injured, including four firefighters who battled the flames for hours.

Shevach shared her grief on Facebook, writing from the ruins, "I want to curl up in the ashes that used to be my bed," expressing the deep personal loss following the destruction of her home. Authorities suspect arson due to multiple simultaneous fire outbreaks, but the official cause has not yet been confirmed. Other reports suggest the fire may have started from a cigarette butt and was rapidly spread by strong winds.

The fire has left the community in shock as investigations continue. Meanwhile, Shevach and other residents are coping with the aftermath of the disaster that compounded the trauma of losing loved ones to terror years earlier.
