A serious incident occurred on Friday in Gush Etzion, where a left-wing activist, approximately 90 years old, allegedly deliberately ran over a Jewish couple who own a farm in the area. The woman was lightly injured after being dragged several meters by the vehicle. Security forces were called to the scene, and the circumstances are under investigation. The suspect was detained for questioning, and his vehicle was confiscated.
According to police, a report was received about a vehicle hitting a woman at Havat Tomer near the Gush Etzion junction. Officers from the Etzion station of the Shai district responded. Initial inquiries revealed that the suspect, an Israeli man, arrived at the location and began filming with a camera. A verbal confrontation ensued between him and a local teenager. The suspect then got into his car and drove off, lightly hitting the teenager, who did not require medical treatment.
Subsequently, a local resident approached the vehicle to inquire about the suspect's actions, but he continued driving and struck her while she was holding onto the car, dragging her several meters. She sustained minor injuries. The 90-year-old suspect was arrested by police and taken for further investigation at the station. The vehicle was impounded, and the investigation is ongoing.
