Pregnant Woman Dies in Head-On Crash Near Ashdod, Baby in Critical Condition
A 35-year-old woman in advanced pregnancy died in a fatal car accident near the Ashdod port on Wednesday. The crash involved a head-on collision between two vehicles. The woman was rushed to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod with multiple injuries. Upon arrival, doctors performed an emergency cesarean section in an attempt to save the baby. Unfortunately, the mother died on the operating table. The newborn girl was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition. Medical teams continue to provide intensive care for the infant as investigations into the accident proceed.
