Pregnant Woman Dies in Ashdod Car Crash, Baby Delivered in Critical Condition
A 35-year-old pregnant woman was killed in a head-on car collision in Ashdod on Wednesday morning. The crash involved two vehicles and was reported to emergency services at 09:54. The woman suffered multiple severe injuries and was rushed to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod in critical condition. Despite extensive medical efforts, doctors declared her dead.
An emergency cesarean section was performed immediately upon her arrival at the hospital. The baby girl was delivered and transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit, where she remains in critical condition after undergoing resuscitation.
Four other individuals involved in the accident sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital for further care. Medical teams including trauma, emergency, maternity, and neonatal units responded swiftly to the incident.
