Super-Pharm Online Begins Selling Chinese Electric Vehicles with Gift Card Incentives
Following similar moves by Oshrat Ad and Rami Levy, Super-Pharm Online has announced it will sell electric vehicles (EVs) from the Chinese brand AION, part of GAC Group, through its website and app. The two models offered are the family crossover AION V and the premium AION HT PURE. Buyers of the AION V will receive a total discount of 19,500 shekels, including a 12,000 shekel price reduction, a 5,000 shekel Super-Pharm gift card, and a free charging station valued at 2,500 shekels. The AION V is priced at 154,990 shekels, while the AION HT PURE is sold exclusively on Super-Pharm Online for 179,990 shekels. Prices include VAT but exclude registration fees.
Customers can reserve a vehicle with a 2,000 shekel deposit online, with final purchase, financing, and payment plans completed at one of five AION showrooms across Israel, supported by importer Orion Mobility from the Union Group. Both models come with an 8-year manufacturer warranty covering the vehicle and battery, subject to mileage limits and authorized service requirements. GAC recently delivered its 1,000th vehicle in Israel during the first half of the year, ranking seventh among over 70 EV brands in the local market.
GAC is a major global automaker producing over 2 million vehicles annually, including models for Toyota and Honda, and has sold approximately 30 million vehicles worldwide. However, international reviews note that the AION crossover has average noise insulation and may feel less stable on highways compared to European competitors. The Israeli market already features several Chinese family crossovers such as Atto 3, Geely, Chery, and BYD. The AION HT, which competes with the Tesla Model Y, faces criticism for limited brand recognition, a sometimes cumbersome user interface, and its large size making urban maneuvering challenging.
