Super-Pharm Enters Electric Car Sales With Limited Discounts on Aion Models

Following a trend of retail chains launching car sales promotions in Israel, Super-Pharm has entered the electric vehicle market by offering Aion models, a Chinese brand under GAC. Unlike previous notable deals such as Osher Ad's Kia Sportage promotion, Super-Pharm's offerings feature minimal discounts and older or less equipped models. The Aion HT electric crossover, resembling a Tesla Model Y, is priced at 180,000 shekels, matching the official importer price with no discount. This model has a smaller battery capacity of 68.8 kWh compared to previous versions and reduced fast-charging speed, limiting its range to 430 km and charging rate to 100 kW. The HT also lacks full European safety certification, restricting its import to 400 units annually and potentially affecting its resale value and maintenance costs.

The Aion V crossover is offered at 155,000 shekels, reflecting a 12,000 shekel discount from the price list, though similar or better competitors like the BYD Atto 3 EVO provide longer range and stronger performance at comparable prices. Buyers through Super-Pharm receive gift cards (5,000 shekels for the V and 2,500 shekels for the HT) and a free charging station, excluding installation. However, these prices exclude trade-in options commonly sought by buyers, which are available directly from importers.
