Zach Leday Leaves Olimpia Milano, Set to Join Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Team

Zach Leday, the 32-year-old forward, has officially parted ways with Olimpia Milano and is on track to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, as first reported by Sport Channel. Leday, standing 2.02 meters tall, completed his contract with Milano this summer after two seasons and is expected to sign a multi-year deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv worth approximately $3 million per season.

In his last season with Milano, Leday posted impressive averages of 13.1 points per game, shooting 51.4% on two-pointers, 49.5% on three-pointers, and 82.4% from the free-throw line, along with 4.2 rebounds per game. Leday began his professional career in Israel with Gilboa/Galil during the 2017-2018 season, averaging 19.3 points and 8.4 rebounds. He then advanced to the EuroLeague, signing with Olympiacos, followed by stints at Žalgiris, two separate periods with Milano, and three years with Partizan.

Olimpia Milano expressed gratitude for Leday's contributions, highlighting his role in the team's historic treble-winning season and their 2021 EuroLeague Final Four appearance. The club praised his enthusiasm, leadership, and positive attitude throughout his three seasons, during which Milano secured six titles.

Hapoel Tel Aviv is expected to announce Leday's signing soon, marking a significant addition to their roster ahead of the upcoming season.
