Hapoel Tel Aviv Signs EuroLeague Star Zack LeDay and Israeli Guard Kadin Carrington
Hapoel Tel Aviv continues its ambitious basketball project by signing forward Zack LeDay to a two-year contract. LeDay, standing 2.02 meters tall, is known for his toughness and offensive skills in the EuroLeague, having played for Partizan Belgrade and Olimpia Milano. His arrival aims to strengthen the frontcourt under coach Dimitris Itoudis as the team targets multiple titles.
In a significant move against their city rival, Hapoel Tel Aviv also secured Israeli guard Kadin Carrington on a three-year deal through the 2028/29 season. Carrington, 30 years old and 1.93 meters tall, previously starred for Hapoel Jerusalem, leading them to two national cups. Holding Israeli citizenship and representing the national team, Carrington will not count as a foreign player, giving Hapoel Tel Aviv a strategic advantage in roster building for both the EuroLeague and domestic competitions.
Carrington impressed last season in the EuroCup with averages of 14.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Hapoel Tel Aviv’s sporting director George Chinas called the signing a key move to strengthen the Israeli core, while coach Dimitris Itoudis praised Carrington’s local league experience and hunger to prove himself at the EuroLeague level. The club also extended contracts with other key players from last season, signaling a clear intent to compete for top honors.
Meanwhile, the team parted ways with Mayan Dar, who transferred to their archrival Maccabi Tel Aviv. These high-profile acquisitions and contract renewals reflect Hapoel Tel Aviv’s ongoing strategy to build a roster capable of reaching at least the EuroLeague Final Four and dominating domestically.
