Israeli Forces Destroy 200 Meters of Terror Tunnels and Weapons in Maghdel Zoun Village
Israeli military units from Brigade 551 and the Yahalom engineering forces under Division 91 have conducted operations in the security zone village of Maghdel Zoun to eliminate threats to Israel. The village was found to be heavily fortified with extensive terrorist infrastructure, including underground tunnels.
The forces destroyed three underground tunnel routes totaling approximately 200 meters in length and about 20 meters deep. These tunnels contained living quarters, three launch shafts aimed at Israeli territory, and dozens of weapons. During searches near the tunnels, the troops also uncovered a weapons cache consisting of mortars, launchers, and RPG rockets.
In addition to the tunnel destruction, the brigade forces neutralized an armed terrorist near one of the tunnel routes in the past week. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle militant infrastructure in southern Lebanon and prevent attacks against Israel.
