Former Gaza Captives Sasha Tropnov and Sapir Cohen Marry in Celebrated Ceremony
Former hostages Sasha Tropnov and Sapir Cohen, both 31, who were abducted in Gaza, married in a ceremony held in Or Yehuda on Sunday evening. The couple was kidnapped while at Kibbutz Nir Oz, where Sasha's parents reside. Sapir was held captive for 55 days before her release, after which she campaigned for Sasha's return. Sasha was freed after 498 days in captivity. Several other former captives, including Eitan Horn, Ariel Koniu, and Arbel Yehud, who were also abducted to Gaza on October 7, attended the wedding. President Isaac Herzog participated in the wedding ceremony, expressing his emotional support and blessing the couple, saying, "We prayed for your return, were moved to tears when you came home, and tonight we rejoice with you under the chuppah on your joyous day. Congratulations Sasha and Sapir. May you build a home full of love, light, and happiness together." Sasha proposed to Sapir a year ago following his release.
