Israeli military and Shin Bet forces conducted an operation in southern Gaza on Sunday, killing Talal Jaber Muhammad Abd Al-Al, a senior operative in the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization. Al-Al held multiple roles within the group and commanded a terrorist cell that infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. Throughout the ongoing conflict, he was involved in holding hostages captured by Islamic Jihad in southern Gaza. The Israeli military spokesperson stated that forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area according to existing agreements and will continue efforts to eliminate immediate threats.
