IDF Kills Senior Islamic Jihad Militant Behind October 7 Hostage Taking in Gaza
On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet carried out a targeted drone strike in southern Gaza, killing Talal Jaber Muhammad Abd al-Aal, a senior commander in the military wing of the Islamic Jihad. Abd al-Aal led the militant cell responsible for the October 7 attack inside Israel, during which hostages were taken. The strike occurred at 5:00 PM in the Khan Yunis area of Gaza. This operation is seen as closing the circle for the captivity survivor Rom Breslavsky, who was held hostage during the October 7 massacre.
