IDF Kills Islamic Jihad Commander Involved in October 7 Israeli Hostage Abductions
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that they killed Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam, the commander of the Nukhba unit within the Islamic Jihad terror organization, in a precise airstrike in Khan Yunis. Aslam led a terrorist cell that participated in the abduction of Israeli civilians during the October 7 massacre. In recent weeks, he had been actively planning terrorist attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The IDF described Aslam as an immediate threat, which justified the targeted strike. The Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and continue operations to neutralize any immediate threats to Israel.
