IDF Kills Islamic Jihad Commander Behind Be'eri Kibbutz Attack and Israeli Hostage Abduction
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated Tarek Anwar Hamis Ra'i, a commander in the Islamic Jihad terror organization, in an operation near Khan Yunis on Sunday. Ra'i was involved in the October 7 massacre during the Simchat Torah holiday, when he raided the Be'eri kibbutz and participated in abducting an Israeli civilian. The IDF spokesperson confirmed that Ra'i recently orchestrated terror plans targeting both Israeli military forces and civilians. His killing aims to neutralize the ongoing threat he posed to Israel. This operation follows the October 7 attacks, which resulted in numerous casualties and hostage situations. The IDF continues to conduct targeted strikes against terror operatives linked to those attacks.
