Dor Peretz is close to signing a new contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv after a long summer standoff involving the club. If the talks are finalized, the captain will be able to return immediately to team training.
His base salary is set at 500,000 euros per season, which would make him the highest-paid player in the Israeli Premier League. That is lower than the 550,000 euros he earned last season, but several bonus clauses could push his total earnings even higher.
According to the reported terms, Peretz would receive a bonus of 70,000 to 80,000 euros if he appears in a set number of matches. He would also be eligible for additional bonuses tied to reaching the European group stage, winning the league title, and lifting the State Cup.
