Captain Eliab Haim Tzeflamus, a 21-year-old officer from Haifa, was buried on Friday in the military cemetery in Haifa. Tzeflamus, a combat officer in the 603rd Battalion of the 7th Brigade, was killed in battle in southern Lebanon. His partner, Inbar, delivered a tearful eulogy, saying, "My Eliab, my darling, my happiness, how can I eulogize you? I am so angry and at the same time grateful for our five years." She added, "You promised you would take care of yourself, so why aren't you coming back? In two weeks, you were supposed to change roles. God, why did you take him from me?" She lamented, "My happiness, thank you for teaching me to love, a love seen only in movies and stories. How much we wanted and planned, and God sat above and just laughed at us, because it's clear they would take the best of the best."

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced Thursday that Tzeflamus fell during operational activity in the Litani area of southern Lebanon. He was killed when an armored personnel carrier overturned during the operation. Three additional soldiers were lightly injured in the incident.
