Range Rover Sport EV Unveiled with Powerful Electric Powertrain

Land Rover has officially revealed the all-new Range Rover Sport EV, following the recent launch of its larger sibling, the Range Rover EV. This new electric model shares the same advanced 800-volt electric architecture and powertrain as the flagship Range Rover.

The Range Rover Sport EV will be available in two configurations. The entry-level electric version boasts 450 horsepower and 69 kgm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The more powerful variant offers a combined output of 550 horsepower and 86.6 kgm of torque, achieving the same acceleration in just 4.5 seconds.

Equipped with the same 118.5 kWh battery as the larger Range Rover, the Sport EV achieves an estimated WLTP range of 609 kilometers, or approximately 536 kilometers in real-world conditions. It supports 22 kW internal charging and rapid DC charging up to 350 kW, capable of adding 220 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes or charging from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes.

Land Rover has equipped the Range Rover Sport EV with intelligent traction management, a rear-axle torque vectoring system, air suspension, and active roll control. The vehicle monitors 100 parameters 500 times per second to optimize body control during cornering and braking. Like its larger counterpart, the Sport EV can ford water up to 90 cm deep and climb angles of 33 degrees or 45 degrees.

Visually, the Range Rover Sport EV is nearly identical to the standard model, with minor aerodynamic enhancements including a revised grille and wheels, along with an improved underbody for better airflow. The vehicle is expected to arrive in Israel a few months after the larger Range Rover EV, in the second half of 2027.
