Lexus NX Facelift, Range Rover EV, and Polestar 4 SUV Unveiled

Lexus has introduced a refreshed version of its second-generation NX compact SUV, five years after its initial launch. The updated model features a more robust front fascia, new headlights, and a refined hourglass grille. The rear receives updated lighting signatures with a connecting light bar and illuminated brand lettering, along with minor bumper adjustments. Inside, the NX adopts straighter lines, a two-tier dashboard, a 14-inch floating multimedia screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a new smaller gear selector, and a redesigned steering wheel.

The plug-in hybrid 450h+ variant now uses the powertrain from the new RAV4 plug-in, featuring a 2.5-liter engine and a larger 23 kWh battery, extending its electric range to 100 km. It also gains a fast-charging function. Total output is increased to 307 hp, with 0-100 km/h acceleration now at 6.1 seconds. The European hybrid 350h model sees a power reduction to 199 hp, but its battery is lighter. Despite the power decrease, acceleration has improved, with front-wheel drive models reaching 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds and all-wheel drive models in 7.3 seconds. The updated Lexus NX is expected to arrive in Israel in late 2027.

Land Rover has officially revealed the Range Rover EV after numerous teasers and delays. This electric SUV utilizes an 800-volt architecture with two motors, each producing 353 hp, for a combined output of 550 hp and 86.6 kgfm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds. An entry-level version offers 450 hp and 69 kgfm, accelerating in 5.6 seconds. The vehicle weighs 2.81 tons and is powered by a 118.5 kWh (net) battery, providing a WLTP range of 598 km, with Land Rover claiming a real-world range of 535 km. It supports 22 kW internal charging and 350 kW fast charging, reaching 80% in 22 minutes. The Range Rover EV maintains off-road capabilities, including 90 cm water wading depth and 33-degree climbing ability, with rear-axle torque vectoring. It is slated for release in Israel in the first quarter of 2027.

Polestar has unveiled the Polestar 4 SUV, a sportier variant of the 4 "coupe" revealed in April 2023. Sharing the SEA platform with the 4, the SUV features a "shooting brake"-like design. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version produces 544 hp, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and offering a 600 km range. The rear-wheel-drive version has 272 hp and a slightly longer range of 630 km, with 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. Both versions use a 100 kWh battery and support 200 kW fast charging. The interior remains largely unchanged, featuring a 15.4-inch floating multimedia screen, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 14.7-inch head-up display. Key changes focus on increased headroom and cargo space, with 530 liters expanding to 1,665 liters with seats folded.
