Range Rover Sport EV Unveiled with Shared Electric Powertrain

Land Rover has officially revealed the all-new Range Rover Sport EV, which shares its electric powertrain with the larger Range Rover EV launched earlier this month. This marks Land Rover's continued expansion into the electric vehicle market.

The Range Rover Sport EV utilizes an 800-volt architecture and features a dual-motor setup. The entry-level electric version delivers 450 horsepower and 69 kgm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. A higher-performance variant boasts 550 horsepower and 86.6 kgm of torque, achieving the same acceleration in just 4.5 seconds.

Equipped with the same 118.5 kWh battery as its larger sibling, the Range Rover Sport EV offers a WLTP-rated range of 609 kilometers, with Land Rover claiming a real-world range of 536 kilometers. It supports 350 kW fast charging, capable of adding 220 kilometers of range in 10 minutes or charging from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes. It also includes a 22 kW internal charger.

Advanced features include intelligent traction management, rear-axle torque vectoring, air suspension, and active roll control, which monitors 100 parameters 500 times per second to optimize body control during cornering and braking. Like the larger model, the Sport EV can ford 90 cm of water and climb 33-degree inclines.

Visually, the Range Rover Sport EV is nearly identical to its predecessor, with minor aerodynamic enhancements to the grille, wheels, and underbody for improved airflow. The vehicle is expected to arrive in Israel in the second half of 2027, several months after the larger Range Rover EV.
