Skoda's Enyaq and Elroq EVs Arrive in Israel After Delays

Skoda's all-electric Elroq SUV has finally launched in Israel, arriving significantly later than initially anticipated by importer Champion Motors. The Elroq, a shorter sibling to the Enyaq, was first previewed in camouflage in July 2024 and had its European launch later that year. While initially slated for a mid-2025 Israeli debut, the vehicle is only now reaching the market.

Alongside the Elroq, the updated Skoda Enyaq SUV and Enyaq Coupe are also returning to the Israeli market after a two-year hiatus. Both models feature refreshed styling, aligning with Skoda's electric vehicle design language, and receive minor interior updates. Key features include a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch infotainment screen, along with proximity-based entry and locking, and standard advanced safety systems.

The Skoda Elroq is offered in Israel with a single powertrain: the "60" version, featuring rear-wheel drive, 190 horsepower, and a 61 kWh LFP battery (58 kWh net) providing a range of up to 442 km. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. Charging takes 6.5 hours from 0-100% on an 11 kW home charger, or 26 minutes from 10-80% using a 105 kW fast charger. European markets also offer more powerful "85" and "85x" variants with larger batteries and all-wheel drive options.

The Elroq is available in two trim levels: "Advance" and "Sportline." The Advance trim includes electrically adjustable, heated front seats with massage and memory functions, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a 5.3-inch digital cockpit, a 13-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Sportline trim adds sport seats, a head-up display, surround-view cameras, matrix-LED lighting, an electric tailgate, and an upgraded Canton sound system.

The updated Enyaq SUV comes with two powertrain options and one trim level. The "60" version features 190 hp, an 8.6-second 0-100 km/h time, and a 58 kWh battery with a 450 km range. The "85" version boasts 286 hp, a 6.6-second 0-100 km/h acceleration, and a larger 77 kWh battery offering a 576 km range. The Enyaq Coupe includes the "85" powertrain and a "Max" trim, adding leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof, and 21-inch wheels. A high-performance "RS" version with 340 hp and all-wheel drive is also available for the Coupe, priced at 280,000 shekels.

Pricing for the Skoda Elroq starts at 183,000 shekels for the Advance trim and 198,000 shekels for the Sportline. The Enyaq SUV "60" is priced at 206,500 shekels, and the "85" at 230,000 shekels. The Enyaq Coupe "85 Max" costs 244,000 shekels, and the "RS" variant is 280,000 shekels. Both models received a 5-star safety rating in European crash tests.
