Range Rover Sport Electric Arrives in Israel Mid-2027
The all-electric Range Rover Sport is set to enter the luxury electric vehicle market in Israel, with its arrival anticipated in mid-2027. A pre-launch interest list has opened, though pricing for the Israeli market has not yet been announced.
The manufacturer states the electric version will offer a range of up to 609 kilometers (378 miles) under WLTP standards, powered by a 118.5 kWh battery. In real-world conditions, the estimated range is up to 537 kilometers (334 miles).
The vehicle features dual electric motors and an 800-volt electrical system supporting fast charging. A DC fast charge can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes, or add up to 220 kilometers (137 miles) of range in just 10 minutes under optimal conditions. A dedicated Range Rover app will assist with locating charging stations and scheduling charging, with a home charger available as an optional accessory.
Performance figures include 550 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in 4.5 seconds with the Dynamic Launch mode engaged. The electric model incorporates air suspension, all-wheel steering, and an active body roll control system, designed to balance on-road performance with off-road capability.
To demonstrate its capabilities, the vehicle underwent rigorous testing in Italian marble quarries, navigating steep inclines and varied surfaces. Global testing also included the Magarigawa circuit near Tokyo. The electric variant boasts a 61% stiffer body structure and a 73 mm lower center of gravity compared to the plug-in hybrid versions. Exterior distinctions include a unique aerodynamic grille and wheels, while the interior features a custom sound signature for different driving modes.
The electric Range Rover Sport, part of a model line with over 20 years of history, will be manufactured at the Solihull plant in the UK alongside its gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid counterparts. The opening of the interest list in Israel is a preliminary step before the model's official launch, with trim levels and final pricing to be revealed closer to the release date.
