BMW Launches Updated 7 Series in Israel with Hybrid and Electric Options

BMW's updated 7 Series flagship has arrived in Israel, with local importer Delek Motors opening early sales ahead of first deliveries expected in October 2026. The refreshed lineup includes four powertrain options: a mild-hybrid 3.0-liter gasoline engine, two plug-in hybrid variants, and a fully electric i7 model.

The entry-level 740 xDrive features a 3.0-liter gasoline engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system producing 400 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and achieving fuel consumption of 12.3 km/l. The first plug-in hybrid, 750e xDrive, combines a 313-hp gasoline engine with a 197-hp electric motor for a total of 489 hp, reaching 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The top plug-in hybrid M760e xDrive boosts gasoline power to 426 hp and total output to 612 hp, cutting acceleration time by 0.6 seconds. Both plug-in hybrids have an 18.7 kWh battery enabling electric ranges of 76-77 km and support home charging in about 2 hours 15 minutes.

The fully electric i7 60 xDrive delivers 544 hp with dual motor all-wheel drive, accelerating to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It houses a 112.5 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a 679 km range. Home charging takes nearly 6 hours, while fast charging at 250 kW can replenish 10-80% in 28 minutes.

Four trim levels are available, tailored to powertrain types. The Pure Excellence trim includes leather upholstery, wood accents, heated and ventilated seats with massage, panoramic roof, 360-degree cameras, and advanced multimedia displays. The M-Expressive adds rear seat ventilation and massage plus M-Sport design elements. The M-Performance trim, exclusive to the M760e, features upgraded lighting, Alcantara headliner, premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 35 speakers, and sport-tuned suspension. The U-Ultimate trim is reserved for the i7 electric model, offering similar luxury and technology enhancements.

Safety features are comprehensive, though the model lacks a child presence alert, earning a 7 out of 9 rating from Israel’s Ministry of Transportation. The 7 Series has not undergone Euro NCAP crash testing.

Pricing starts at 890,000 shekels for the 740 xDrive Pure Excellence and reaches up to 1.316 million shekels for the fully electric i7 U-Ultimate, with higher trims including the Executive Lounge rear seat package.
