Israel Adds New Hybrid, Luxury, and Family Car Versions, Plus Lower BMW M Prices
Several new vehicle versions went on sale in Israel over the past week, alongside a revised BMW M price list. The rollout includes updated familiar models, returning nameplates, and new entry trims, with the Nissan Qashqai hybrid, Genesis GV70 and GV80 lower-spec versions, the BMW M range, and Peugeot’s Rifter passenger van among the highlights.
Nissan has launched the refreshed third-generation Qashqai Hybrid, which arrived in Israel after its August 2024 facelift. It now starts at 195,000 shekels, with a temporary launch discount of 5,000 shekels for three months, and is 13,000 shekels cheaper than the pre-facelift model. The hybrid system pairs a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for 156 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and claimed fuel consumption of 22.2 km per liter. It will be sold in three trims, Asenta Shade, Asenta Tech, and Tekna Eco, priced at 195,000, 200,000, and 210,000 shekels.
Genesis has added cheaper entry trims to its larger SUVs. The GV70 now gets an Elegant version at 360,000 shekels, 40,000 shekels below the Premium trim, while the GV80 gains an Exclusive version at 490,000 shekels, 86,000 shekels below the Elegant trim. The lower trims cut equipment such as seat ventilation, power memory functions, surround cameras, automatic parking, and several driver-assistance and comfort features.
BMW’s importer also released a reduced price list for M models and announced sales of the M2 xDrive at 530,000 shekels. The M2 Carbon drops to 500,000 shekels, the M3 Competition to 570,000 shekels, the M4 Competition to 590,000 shekels, and the M4 Convertible to 650,000 shekels; xDrive versions of the M3 and M4 join the range at 600,000 and 620,000 shekels. In the X6 lineup, the xDrive30d M Sport and xDrive30d M Expressive also got price cuts, while new M60i M-Sport Pro and M Competition versions were added.
Peugeot has begun selling the Rifter, the passenger version of the Partner commercial van and a twin of the Citroën Berlingo. It comes in GT trim with either a short body, five seats and 775 liters of cargo space for 179,000 shekels, or a long body with seven seats and 209 liters of cargo space, expanding to 1,050 liters with the third row folded, for 190,000 shekels. It uses a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 130 hp and an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and includes a wide safety and convenience package.
