FlyDubai Flights to Ben Gurion Undergo Enhanced Security After Pilot Incident

All FlyDubai flights arriving at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport will be subjected to enhanced security screening, with aircraft being diverted to a separate tarmac for additional checks. This measure follows concerns of a potential large-scale incident after an emergency code was declared on Flydubai flight FZ1073, traveling from Dubai to Ben Gurion. The aircraft activated the international emergency code 7700 during a turn over the Jordanian-Saudi border. Media reports indicate a fight broke out in the cockpit during the flight, resulting in one pilot sustaining a stab wound. The plane made a safe emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with all passengers and crew unharmed. Israeli airline El Al has offered to arrange a rescue flight to Saudi Arabia to bring the passengers back, which would be a historic first for the carrier. The Prime Minister's Office in Israel stated that the situation is under control and all measures are being taken to ensure the safe return of Israeli passengers.
