Urgent Recall Issued for Cooking Grain Mix Due to Toxin Contamination
R.B.A. Import and Export Ltd., the official importer of Floraline products manufactured in France, has issued an urgent recall for its "Cooking Grain Mix" (durum wheat semolina and tapioca, 500g package). The recall was initiated following the detection of ergot alkaloids, natural toxins produced by certain fungi that can affect grains, exceeding regulatory limits in a manufacturer's test.
The company is urging consumers not to consume the product and to contact their consumer service for returns and refunds. R.B.A. Import and Export Ltd. is coordinating with the Central District Food Service of the Ministry of Health to immediately remove the affected products from store shelves.
Ergot alkaloids can lead to adverse health effects, including gastrointestinal issues like nausea and vomiting, neurological problems such as spasms and seizures, and vascular effects related to blood vessel constriction.
