Teenager Critically Injured in Holon Explosion; Attack Not Targeted
A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured on Monday after an explosive device detonated in the courtyard of a building on Ha'Sanhedrin Street in Holon. Police stated that the boy, who was in the area, was an innocent bystander and not the intended target of the attack.
Numerous police forces, including officers from the Holon station and bomb disposal experts, responded to the scene. They began investigating the circumstances of the explosion and searching the area to determine its cause and motive.
Following the incident, the injured teenager managed to reach an apartment in the building on his own, where he received initial medical treatment. He was later transported by a Magen David Adom intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious condition.
"We saw the teenager conscious and suffering from severe injuries to his body. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him by Magen David Adom intensive care unit to the hospital, his condition serious," said MDA paramedic Noam Barzani.
The police confirmed receiving a report of an explosion and stated, "At this stage, the source of the explosion and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated."
