Teenager Critically Injured in Holon Explosion, Grenade Suspected

A 15-year-old boy sustained critical injuries in Holon on Monday, reportedly from a grenade explosion. Police are investigating whether the explosive device was thrown into the apartment where the teenager was located, or if he was injured while playing with it. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and provided the boy with life-saving treatment before transporting him to the hospital in serious condition. The initial report of the incident was received by Magen David Adom (MDA) at 12:11 PM. "We saw the teenager conscious and suffering from severe injuries to his body," said MDA paramedic Noam Barzani. "We provided him with life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital, his condition is serious."

Police received a report of an explosion heard on Sanhedrin Street in Holon, with an injured person being evacuated from the scene. "Upon receiving the report, police forces from the Holon station in the Ayalon region, along with police sappers, arrived at the scene and began investigating the circumstances of the incident and conducting searches in the area. At this stage, the source of the explosion and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated," a police spokesperson stated.
